Treasury Director

Reports to: CFO

Energy Company with a major participant in wholesale energy markets. Our client operates in every market and provide coast to coast coverage of financial and physical products in power, natural gas and NGLs, environmental products and financial crude oil products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage treasury department collectively responsible for treasury operations, liquidity management, and working capital initiatives
  • Initiate and lead various projects within the organization to improve efficiency and controls
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives related to capital management and collateral utilization
  • Develop and maintain banking relationships for the organization
  • Develop and maintain Foreign Currency risk management processes for North America
  • Develop and maintain Interest Rate risk management processes for North America
  • Lead and/or assist with analysis and modeling in various respects including foreign exchange risk management, interest rate risk management, cash management and forecasting, and collateral management activities
  • Develop and present scenario analysis with regard to working capital and trade financing opportunities
  • Process requests for collateral and LC issuances, including language review
  • Release outgoing payments after review of support and approvals
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain regular communication with UK Treasury team on North American operating metrics and strategic initiatives

Experience Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other quantitative or analytical field, a Master’s degree is preferred
  • 8+ years of professional Treasury experience required
  • CTP, CPA, or similar designation preferred
  • Energy market experience preferred
  • International or multi-national business experience preferred
  • Foreign currency and interest rate risk management required
  • MS Office Excel and ability to learn and navigate different software and database systems is required
